Next tour to Cuba, Sept 17-24.

I am taking a small group to Cuba in September to meet a variety of Cubans including artists, musicians, and health care professionals. We will tour Havana as well as visit the historic city of Cienfuegos, the Bay of Pigs and swim in the coral reef. Also our trip is timed so we can attend Mass in the Plaza of the Revolution with Pope Francis. Would you like to attend this historic event?

Day 1
Sept 17

Arrive in Havana

Dinner with acclaimed artist Jose Fuster. Tour his home and gallery

Day 2

Friday, Sept 18

Guided walking tour through Havana Old Havana

Rumba presentation with snacks and drinks

Dinner with  Americans and  Cubans

Cultural activity (attend a theater or club)

 

Day 3

Saturday, Sept 19

Leave for Las Terrazas Biosphere Wild Life Preserve

Zipline from one mountain to the other over a river

Farm to Table Organic Lunch in Las Terraza

 

Day 4

Sunday, Sept 20

Attend Plaza de la Revolution for Mass with Pope Francis

Lunch in Havana Restaurant and departure to Varadero.

Meet with Casa Carino in Varadero – Church provides vacations for sick children

Day 5

Monday, Sept 21

Check-Out  Leave for Bay of Pigs (in Spanish Playa Giron)

En route watch Saul Landau’s movie “Will the  Real Terrorists Please Stand Up” and discussion US-Cuba relations

Lunch Caleta Buena coral reef

Tues, Sept 22

Visit to village of   Santa Isabel De Lajas, Home of Cuban singer Benny More (Song about the town by Benny More)
